Abstract
The dualistic core based non-polished optimized oval shaped cladding, for high performance Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) based Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) biosensor designed to early detect the cancer cells. The malignant and non-malignant cells consist of different refractive indices which is processed by the biosensor. By the optimized oval shaped air hole and non-polished surface that offers high performance for both sensitivities and accuracy with easy fabrication that made the sensor comparatively cheaper. The change in resonance condition the dualistic core base non-polished biosensor can provide regular tracking of multi bio-molecular interactions. The proposed biosensor can detect MCF7, MDAMB231, PC12, Jurkat, HeLa, Basal types cancer cells. The FEM is used to analyze the numeric data by the proposed biosensor. Covering a wide range from 1.360 to 1.401 which refers to different malignant cells refractive index can be evaluated by the sensor. The wavelength sensitivity for MCF7, MDAMB231, PC12, Jurkat, HeLa, Basal are sequentially 7142.86, 8571.43, 5714.29, 4583.33, 5000, 3000 nmRIU−1. The maximum wave length sensitivity is 8571.43 nmRIU−1 for the cell MDAMB231. For the Basal cell highest resolution achieved by the sensor is 3. 3 3×1 0−5R I U- 1.
