The Department of Business Administration (BBA) organized a seminar on "Business Education and Research: Australian-Bangladesh Perspective", held on October 12, 2014 at the Varendra University campus. Dr. Kazi Saidul Islam, Professor of Accounting Systems and Assurance Department, Central Queensland University, Australia was the keynote speaker in the seminar.

Professor Dr. Sayeedur Rahman Khan, ex-Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University and former High Commissioner, Professor Dr. M. Osman Gani Talukder, Vice Chancellor were present in the programme. About 100 students, faculty members and guests attended the seminar.

Dr. Sheikh Shamsul Arafin, Dean of Business Administration and Law faculty and Head of the Business Administration Department, introduced the keynote speaker.

In his presentation, Dr. Kazi Saidul Islam portrayed the global education system in general but focused his discussion on the Business Education in Australian Universities. As a background to his discussion Dr. Islam surveyed the general education system in Australia. A lively question-answer session followed the main presentation.
