Fall-2014 Orientation Programme of Varendra University (VU) was held on September 28, 2014 at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) auditorium. Honourable Chairman of Varendra University Trust (VUT) Mr. Hafizur Rahman Khan graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Mr. A. K. M. Kamruzzaman Khan, Secretary General, VUT, Mr. Mohammad Ali Deen and Mrs. Quamrun Rahman Khan, members of VUT were also present there. Presided over by Dr. M. Osman Gani Talukder, Vice Chancellor, VU, the programme was also graced by Professor Dr. Sayeedur Rahman Khan, ex-Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University and former High Commissioner, Professor Dr. Rafiqul Alam Beg, Vice-Chancellor of RUET, and Professor Dr. Nurul Hossain Choudhury, Pro Vice Chancellor, VU as Special Guests. Engr. Shamim Ahsan Parvez, Registrar-in-charge, members of Syndicate, Academic Council, Finance Committee, deans of faculties, chairmen and teachers of different departments, parents and guardians of students were also present in the programme.
The orientation programme began with the recitation from the holy Quran and Gita, and was followed by initiation of the new students, discussion session and musical programme.
